Vol. 275 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pyramid Selling.

8.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is satisfied that pyramid selling is no longer a problem in this country.

9.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the up-to-date position in relation to the banning of the practice known as pyramid selling.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 8 and 9 together.

I am not satisfied that pyramid selling is no longer a problem in this country and, in fact, I intend to introduce legislation, I hope in this session, to control the undesirable features of pyramid selling.
