Community agencies are actively considering measures to provide for the mutual recognition of professional qualifications. Considerable progress has been made in the case of medicine. There are indications that the nursing profession will be given a high priority in the immediate future. The issue in relation to the pharmaceutical profession is before the Council of Ministers but is not active at present.
