Vol. 278 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Garda Station.

4.

asked the Minister for Justice when it is proposed to provide a Garda barracks to cover the South Hill, Kennedy Park and Janesboro area of Limerick which has an estimated population of 10,000.

The Commissioner informs me that he is satisfied that the present arrangements for policing the area are adequate and that the provision of a station in the area would not be justified.

Garda strength at Edward Street station which serves the areas in question has been increased over the past few years and will, of course, be kept under review.
