Season permits costing £15 and £40 each are currently available for the State fishery on the river Laune. I am satisfied that these charges are reasonable and I do not propose to reduce them.
The question relates to the Muckross river.

The Deputy is deficient in his geography. It is the river Laune.
In his question Deputy McEllistrim sought information regarding the Muckross river. If it is the same river that is all right.

It is the same river under a different name. The Laune river is under the jurisdiction of the Office of Public Works. It runs through the Muckross Estate in the Bourn Vincent Memorial Park.
I suggest to the Parliamentary Secretary that normal parliamentary practice would have been for him to suggest that the Deputy had the Laune river in mind when he referred to the Muckross river. Is it the Parliamentary Secretary's contention that Deputy McEllistrim wished to ask about the Laune river? There seems to be some confusion because the Deputy in his question referred to £45 while the Parliamentary Secretary mentioned different sums.

I am sorry to have to pursue this matter further but is the Parliamentary Secretary certain he understands the question put down by Deputy McEllistrim? The Deputy has asked about the Muckross river and has mentioned a fee of £45 but the Parliamentary Secretary gives us information about the Laune river and mentions a fee of £40.
