I understand from the Industrial Development Authority that the present advance factory programme for Sligo/ Leitrim does not provide for an advance factory in Drumshanbo. Two advance factories have already been built in County Leitrim, a third is virtually completed and another is planned.
The Leitrim County Council have purchased a seven-acre site in Drumshanbo which is suitable for industrial development. The IDA intend to acquire the major portion of this site and do everything possible to attract projects to locate there.
