Vol. 278 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Westmeath Sewerage Scheme.

18.

asked the Minister for Local Government the position in regard to the sewerage scheme for Tyrellspass, County Westmeath, which was referred to him for sanction in May, 1974; and when sanction will issue.

Contract documents for this scheme are under consideration in my Department. I cannot say when I will be in a position to convey my decision with regard to these documents to the local authority.

I should add that this scheme is No. 4 on the priority list of Westmeath County Council; it is very low on the national priority and, therefore, although it originally came in in 1966 it has been knocking around since. There is not much chance of sanction in the near future.
