Vol. 287 No. 10

Written Answers. - Free Postage Facilities.

62.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will have some arrangements made whereby people under 25 years will be entitled to free postage when applying for jobs and positions and thus remove the cost which prevents many such people at present from applying for suitable work.

I do not see how practicable arrangements on the lines suggested could be devised. Even if arrangements could be made, the cost of such a concession would not appear to be appropriate to my Department's Vote.
