Written Answers. - County Tipperary Post Offices.

61.

asked the Minister for Finance if tenders have been sought for the construction of the new post office building in Clonmel, County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The contract documents for this project are virtually completed and it is hoped to invite tenders within the next two to three weeks.

62.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is intended to commence the building of the new post office in Tipperary town.

Some aspects of the detailed sketch plans for the proposed new post office in Tipperary town are at present the subject of discussions between my Department and the Commissioners of Public Works and the commissioners are not at this stage in a position to say when building will commence.
