asked the Minister for Finance if he will sanction the proposal by Dublin County Council for a coastal protection scheme for the area.
Written Answers. - Coastal Protection Scheme.
108.
The Commissioners of Public Works have received proposals under the Coast Protection Act, 1963, from Dublin County Council for coast protection works at eight locations in County Dublin. Engineering examinations have to be made in each case to determine whether a coast protection problem as defined in the Act exists, and, if so, if it is serious enough to warrant a formal statutory protection scheme. Having regard to present commitments it will be some years before the required investigations will be carried out.
