Vol. 303 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fish Imports.

1.

asked the Taoiseach the total value of fish imported in 1977, either tinned, smoked, processed in any form or fresh.

The total value of fish, including shelfish, fresh, chilled, frozen, salted, dried, smoked, prepared or preserved, imported in the year 1977 was £8.5 million.

Could the Minister say how much was imported from EEC and third countries? Would the Minister send the information to me?

I have not that sort of breakdown but I will endeavour to let the Deputy have the information.

Thank you.
