Planning of the new Garda station at Mitchelstown, County Cork, is at an advanced stage and it is hoped to invite tenders for the construction work in the summer.

It is proposed to provide a new Garda station and living quarters at Kildorrery and a site is being sought for this purpose. It is not possible at present to say when work will commence.
