asked the Minister for Defence if, in view of the likelihood of redundancies at Verolme Cork Dockyard, he will consider having the proposed fishery protection vessel built there without delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

(Mr. Molloy): The proposed fishery protection vessel for the Naval Service is being built at Verolme Cork Dockyard. It is expected that the keel of the vessel will be laid early next month.
