Vol. 308 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Strokestown (Roscommon) Clinic.

6.

asked the Minister for Health, the present position regarding the alterations and improvements which are planned for the clinic in Strokestown, County Roscommon; the facilities, particularly dental conservation facilities, which will be available at the clinic following renovation; and if a date can be indicated for the completion of work and the availability of the additional health facilities.

I understand that a contract has been signed for the renovation of the clinic at Strokestown, that work on the scheme will be commenced within a matter of days and that the project will be completed early in the new year.

The renovation scheme provides for improved accommodation for the doctor, a special room for ophthalmic clinics, a complete dental suite and accommodation for public health nurses and a community welfare officer.
