Allocation of Time: Motion.

I move:

That, notwithstanding anything in Standing Orders and in the Resolution of 12 October 1977 (as amended by the Resolution of 14 December 1977) relating to business and sittings:

(1) the Dáil sit later than 9 p.m. to-day and tomorrow and than 5.30 p.m. on Thursday, 14 December and that the hour at which business is to be interrupted each day be 9.30 p.m.;

(2) the Dáil meet on Friday, 15 December at 10.30 a.m. and adjourn not later than 4 p.m.;

(3) the sitting tomorrow be not suspended from 1.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.;

(4) consideration of Government business be not interrupted this week at the time fixed for taking Private Members' Business;

(5) the proceedings on the remaining Supplementary Estimates for the year ending 31 December 1978, if not already concluded, be brought to a conclusion at 6.30 p.m. today by putting from the Chair the Question(s) necessary to bring them to a conclusion: and the provisions of Standing Order 123 shall not apply to any division demanded on a Supplementary Estimate; and

(6) in the case of the Appropriation Bill, 1978, the Restrictive Practices (Confirmation of Order) (No. 3) Bill, 1978 and the Local Government (Financial Provisions) Bill, 1977 the proceedings on all Stages not already disposed of shall be brought to a conclusion at 9.30 p.m. today by putting from the Chair the Question necessary to bring them to a conclusion: and the Question to be put from the Chair on each Bill shall be (as the case may require) "That leave be given to introduce the Bill, that the Bill be now read a second time and that (all amendments set down by the Member in charge of the Bill and not disposed of are hereby made to the Bill) the Bill (as amended) is hereby agreed to and (as amended) is reported to the House and (all amendments set down by the Member in charge of the Bill, including any requiring Recommittal, and not disposed of are hereby made to the Bill and) Recommittal and Fourth Stages are hereby completed and the Bill is hereby passed."
