Written Answers. - County Cork National Schools.

asked the Minister for Education when the building of the new national school in Ballingeary, Macroom, County Cork will commence and the amount of the local contribution.

I understand from the Commissioners of Public Works that a tender has been accepted for this project. It is anticipated that the contract will be signed and that work may commence in the near future.

It would not be in accordance with normal practice to state the amount of the local contribution in the case of an individual school.

77.

asked the Minister for Education when the extensions will be carried out at Kilmurray national school, County Cork.

I understand that the Commissioners of Public Works are seeking tenders for the purpose of placing a contract for this scheme. It is not possible to state at this stage when a contract may be placed.
