asked the Minister for Defence (a) the number of Naval Service cadets recruited in each year from 1970 to 1979 inclusive, (b) the number in training on 31 December of each year, (c) the number of vacancies each year, (d) the number of applicants for such vacancies and (e) if the final selection was by interview examination or otherwise.
