asked the Minister for Education the amount of funds allocated for the provision of new schools, extensions and improvements to existing schools at both the primary and second level in Tipperary North for the years 1976 and 1979.

The appropriate amounts allocated for first and second level school building and improvement projects in Tipperary North in the years 1976 and 1979 were as follows:

asked the Minister for Education when he will allocate a grant for a new school at the Ursuline Convent, Thurles, County Tipperary.

I have approved the provision of a new secondary school at the Ursuline Convent, Thurles, County Tipperary. As plan are only at the working Drawing stage, it would not be possible to state at this stage when building work may commence.

asked the Minister for Education when he will allocate a grant for a new primary school at Lismackin, County Tipperary.

A grant was sanctioned in July 1979, for the proposed new school at Lismackin. Working drawings have been prepared and bills of quantities have been received in the Office of Public Works. The question of sanction for the invitation of tenders will be considered in accordance with normal procedure.
