Vol. 320 No. 10

Written Answers. - Free Electricity Allowance.

212.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reasons for the delay in granting a free electricity allowance to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary.

I regret that as the person in question is not in receipt of one of the qualifying pensions or allowances her application for a free electricity allowance has been disallowed. She has been advised that her husband, who is in receipt of one of the relevant pensions, may qualify if he becomes the registered consumer and applies for the allowance.
