Vol. 321 No. 5

Written Answers. - Payment of Housing Grants.

25.

asked the Minister for the Environment if the applicants who had been allocated housing grants under the pre-July 1977 scheme are now being denied payment of same.

The final date for the completion of work under the old schemes of new house and reconstruction grants was 31 December 1978, and the latest date for claims for payment of such grants was 31 January 1980. Grants may now be paid only in cases in which these requirements have been complied with.

30.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the delay in the payment of a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in south-west Cork; and when payment will issue.

There has been no undue delay by my Department in this case. A grant of £1,000 was allocated on 22 May and will be paid very shortly.
