Vol. 321 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Fencing of Department Lands.

144.

asked the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry if he will take immediate steps to have the lands in the possession of his Department properly fenced to avoid nuisance and trespass to neighbouring land owners.

The answer is in the negative. My Department have no obligation either to erect or maintain fences but will continue their practice of fencing State forest lands for protective purposes and of maintaining such fences for as long as is considered necessary.
