(i) Amounts allocated for Vocational Education Committee scholarships: 1974-75, £313,453; 1975-76, £379,033; 1976-77, £392,254; 1977-78, £657,833; 1978-79, £696,895; 1979-80, £902,058.
(ii) The European Social Fund Training Grant Scheme commenced in 1975 and the amounts allocated for awards under the scheme for the period 1975-76 to 1979-80 are as follows: 1975-76, £125,496; 1976-77, £245,016; 1977-78, £452,563; 1978-79, £978,373; 1979-80, £1,467,013.
