asked the Minister for the Environment when a home improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in Dublin; and the amount of the grant.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the works are eligible for grant and have been satisfactorily completed. The amount of the grant payable will be determined on the basis of the inspector's estimate of the cost of the works. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a housing grant application (details supplied) was received in his Department; if he will treat this case as urgent and give immediate sanction due to the fact there are three generations living in this small overcrowded house.

There is no record of the receipt in my Department of a housing grant application from the person named.
