asked the Minister for Health the effective weekly rates of pay of ambulance drivers in each health board under the first and second phases of the National Understanding, 1980.
The basic weekly wage scales of trained ambulance drivers employed in each health board, with the exception of the Dublin area of the Eastern Health Board, are as follows:—
Inclusive of phase I of the national understanding, 1980, from £90.08 to £98.41 per week; Inclusive of phase II of the national understanding, 1980, from £96.38 to £105.30 per week.
In the Dublin area of the Eastern Health Board the respective scales are:
Phase I, from £95.19 to £104.76; Phase II, from £101.85 to £112.09.
In addition, allowances may be paid, as appropriate, for shift work, week-end work, for on-call and for call-out.
