The amount of £100,000 allocated on certain conditions as a grant to Dungarvan Urban District Council, towards the cost of constructing a sports centre offered on 18 February 1981 is available for that purpose.
In regard to the question of a grant to Dungarvan Youth Club, I desire to draw the attention of the Deputy to my recent announcement of a scheme of grant-aid towards the implementation of a community, youth recreational and employment programme. It is open to all interested groups, organisations and clubs to apply for assistance under this scheme. An official application form and details of the scheme have been issued to Dungarvan Youth Club. Until the applications have been received and considered I shall not be in a position to state which projects may be grant-aided.
