Vol. 333 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Waterford School.

30.

asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position in relation to the provision of additional classrooms at Fenor national school, County Waterford.

A grant has been sanctioned towards the cost of extending Fenor national school, County Waterford. The further arrangements for the provision of the extension are a matter for the Commissioners of Public Works. These arrangements include the preparation of working drawings and, if necessary, a bill of quantities.

I am not sure if the Minister is aware of it, but this is the seventh time I have asked a question about this school. Would the Minister make it his business to see that the plans are sent from the Office of Public Works as quickly as possible? I have had to ask this question at six monthly intervals, without making any progress.

The grant was sanctioned on 22 March, which, I hope, represents some progress.
