I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that claims for refund of VAT by the person in question were passed for payment on 23 April and that refund of the tax as appropriate will be made shortly. It was not possible to pass the claims prior to the date mentioned as a reply had been awaited from the person's agent regarding his client's liability to VAT in respect of a particular trading transaction.
