Vol. 334 No. 2

Written Answers. - Drainage of Galway River.

484.

asked the Minister for Finance the present position in relation to the drainage of the River Nanny at Tuam, County Galway.

The engineering difficulties in relation to the Tuam water supply intake from the River Nanny which caused the postponement of the drainage of that river have not yet been resolved. They are the subject of consultation between the Commissioners of Public Works and Galway County Council. The resolution of those difficulties is a prerequisite of any drainage works on the river.
