The £1,000 grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and the other conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. An early inspection is being arranged.

Under the Housing Regulations, 1980 (as amended), it was necessary for payment of a house improvement grant that the work be satisfactorily completed on or before 30 June 1981. As this statutory requirement was not complied with in this case a grant cannot be paid.

565.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a change of dependence-on-oil grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford.

Under the Housing Regulations, 1980, the latest date for the receipt of an application for a solid fuel grant was 1 February 1980.

As the application in this case was not received until 23 February 1981, a grant cannot be paid. The applicant was informed accordingly on 4 March 1981.

566.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to pay a new house grant to a person (details supplied) in County Cork as all the work has been completed.
