Vol. 340 No. 4

Ceisteanna — Questions. Oral Answers. - Kerry National School Improvements.

35.

asked the Minister for Education when repairs and improvements will be completed to Listellick national school, Tralee, County Kerry.

My Department await a report from the Commissioners of Public Works concerning repairs to the play-space and the boundary wall of Listellick national school, Tralee, County Kerry.

The chairman of the board of management has been authorised to seek tenders for other minor works including the repair or replacement of some doors and windows. The submission of tenders is awaited.

This has been going on since 1977. Can I have a commitment from the Minister that this work will now proceed?

If it has been going on since 1977 the Deputy's influence has not been great and his influence with me will be greater.

I was not here in 1977.

Other people were here.

I speak for myself.
