asked the Minister for Education if she proposes to increase the fee levels in regional technical colleges; and, if so, by how much.
I propose to take questions Nos. 570 and 571 together.
It is my intention that there will be discussions with representatives of the management authorities concerned before the issue of an official circular in this matter. Accordingly, I am not in a position at present to make a detailed statement in relation to such increases in the fees as will be introduced in respect of students of the colleges in question. The normal practice is that an increase in fees is introduced with effect from the commencement of the next school year.
