Tenders are at present being sought from a number of general contractors for a care and maintenance programme for the premises of Clondalkin Paper Mills. The objective is to begin such a programme as soon as the contract for the purchase of the assets of the mill has been concluded. This is exected to take place on 22 March next. Pending acceptance of a satisfactory quotation for the work in question I am not in a position to state definitely how long the work will take but I am advised that it should be completed within about a month from commencement.
