Vol. 340 No. 11

Written Answers. - Ballyboden (Dublin) Sub-Post Office.

459.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when it is intended to re-open a sub-post office in Ballyboden, County Dublin; if he is aware that the person who previously operated the sub-post office there is again willing to operate; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Applications will be invited shortly for the postmaster/postmistress vacancy at Ballyboden. Provided a suitable applicant is forthcoming, it is intended that the sub-post office will be reopened at an early date. If the former postmaster who resigned in April 1982 and who has expressed a renewed interest in the appointment makes application, he will be considered with any other candidates there may be in accordance with standard arrangements.
