A new community nursing unit was completed at Buncrana in July 1982. The North Western Health Board are currently making arrangements to reallocate resources in order to open the unit on a phased basis this year.
I have already made capital funds of some £925,000 available to build this unit and I will be making a further grant to the board to meet the cost of equipping the unit.
