Vol. 348 No. 11

Written Answers. - Kerry Group Water Scheme.

398.

Mr. O'Leary

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange for his Department and Kerry County Council to provide a reservoir with a main pipeline to it to facilitate the proposed Spa-Teernaboul group water scheme in County Kerry; the date work is likely to start on this scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

No proposals for the provision of a reservoir and main pipeline have been submitted to my Department by the Kerry Council Council in this case. The design of the group water scheme which includes the provision of a reservoir appears to be in order from a technical viewpoint so far as my Department is concerned and has been forwarded to Kerry County Council for approval. I cannot at this stage say when grants will be allocated for the scheme or when work might commence.
