asked the Minister for the Environment the amount of money collected in road taxation by Cork County Council for last year; and the amount of money spent on roads in Cork county in the same year.

The amount collected in 1983 in road taxation by Cork County Council was £11.323 million, (including driving licence fees £0.611 million). The total amount expended on public roads in County Cork in the same year was £29,271 million.
