The pilot project on the use of computers in national schools, as referred to in the Programme for Action in Education, commenced in September 1984. Thirty schools participated in the project in the 1984-85 school year. When the scheme concludes in June 1986 a report on the outcome of the project will be submitted to my Department and the findings will then be communicated to all primary schools.
