Vol. 361 No. 12

Written Answers. - Milk Quota Increase.

105.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will consider allowing a person (details supplied) in County Cork an increase in his milk quota due to the fact that 25 per cent of his herd has been wiped out due to the disease leptospirosis; and if it is his intention to allow this disease to be taken into consideration for flexi-milk.

This animal disease is not among those qualifying producers for additional quotas from the national reserve I introduced last year or from allocations of flexi-milk. I have no plans to amend the list of such eligible animal diseases.
