asked the Minister for the Environment if he will allocate a substantial increase to Donegal County Council in 1986 in order to allow the council to deal with the chronic deterioration of the county roads due to the severe frost in the winter of 1984-85 and the severe flooding during the summer of 1985; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

In accordance with established practice, considerations of the kind mentioned by the Deputy are borne in mind when the road grant allocations are being determined.
