asked the Minister for Agriculture when a reactor grant payment will be made to a person (details supplied); and if the payment is not to be made, the reason.

An essential precondition of payment of reactor grants — accepted by every herd owner when he or she applies — is that reactor animals must be delivered to a registered meat export premises within a certain period. Since the limit of 30 days applicable at the time (May and October 1984) was not observed in respect of the 50 animals involved in this case there are no grants payable.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork was refused a grant for first time silage as he has never before made silage.
