Vol. 364 No. 5

Written Answers. - Redundancy Payment.

63.

asked the Minister for Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry when a person (details supplied) in County Cork, a former employee for the Department of Tourism, Fisheries and Forestry will be paid redundancy money; and the amount he will receive.

The employment of the person concerned was terminated on 12 April 1985 and he applied for an ill-health pension on 18 November 1985. The necessary formalities in regard to pension entitlement are at present being finalised by my Department in consultation with the Department of the Public Service and are expected to be completed very soon. When approved the pension will be paid as quickly as possible. I am not in a position to state at this stage the amount of the pension that will be payable.
