asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the administrative cost to run the IDA.

The Industrial Development Authority have been given a total allocation of £32.180 million in respect of administration costs in 1986. This allocation includes costs relating to salaries and wages, promotions, advertising, overseas marketing and general administrative expenses such as rent, rates and maintenance.

I thank the Minister for the information in reply to my shortened question. Could the Minister tell me the numbers employed by the IDA?

The IDA have 515 employees at head office, 114 in the regional offices and 71 employees overseas.
