asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the amount of IDA advance factory space in square footage terms available per county at the end of March 1986; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

(Limerick East): The information requested by the Deputy in relation to IDA advance factory space is in the form of a tabular statement which I propose to circulate with the Official Report.

The IDA are actively promoting all these facilities for industrial development. Following is the statement:

Is it still the Government's intention to replace fixed assets by transferring moneys available to the marketing sector?

(Limerick East): Yes. It is part of Government policy but it would not encapsulate all of Government policy.
