Vol. 368 No. 5

Written Answers. - Reduced Premium.

196.

asked the Minister for Agriculture the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork is now being paid a reduced premium for the non-marketing of milk of £1,500 instead of £5,000.

The person named was paid a reduced premium because he failed to account for 47 animals which he did not present for inspections in 1982 and 1984. Under the terms of the scheme, he was obliged to dispose of these animals through slaughter or export to a non-EC country but has failed to produce any evidence that he did so.
