Vol. 368 No. 10

Written Answers. - Land Commission Delays.

120.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware of the serious delays in the sub-division section and other sections of the Land Commission; if he is also aware that it can take up to three months to print a vesting order; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am not aware of any serious delays in the sub-division and other sections of the Land Commission and every effort is being made to mitigate the effect of the transfer of the bulk of the field staff to the farm classification office.

While it takes, on average, up to three months to have a vesting order printed, in cases of urgency the Land Commission endeavours to minimise this delay.
