Vol. 371 No. 8

Written Answers. - Donaghmede (Dublin) Garda Station.

61.

asked the Minister for Justice when it is intended to build a new Garda station to serve the Donaghmede area of Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There are no proposals at present for the provision of a permanent Garda station at Donaghmede but the Garda authorities propose to establish a Garda office or "clinic" at a central location there where gardaí will be in attendance for certain hours each day. It is intended that this "clinic" will serve also as the centre for Garda patrolling of the area. The Office of Public Works are currently arranging for the lease of a suitable office for this purpose.
