asked the Minister for Education in relation to each of the primary teacher training colleges (1) the student capacity; (2) the number of students enrolled in the current academic year; and (3) the projected enrolment for 1987-88.

(1) The student capacity of the Colleges of Education for primary teacher training is as follows: St. Patrick's, 950; Carysfort, 900; Limerick, 850; Church of Ireland, 90; Sion Hill, 140; Marino, 150. Total 3,080.

(2) The number of students enrolled in the current academic year is as follows: St. Patrick's, 664; Carysfort, 332; Limerick, 556; Church of Ireland, 79; Sion Hill, 77; Marino, 87. Total 1,795.

(3) The 1987-88 intake to the Colleges of Education has not yet been decided.
