It is assumed that the Deputy is referring to the consumer protection branch of the commerce division of my Department. In 1980 there was a total of 19 staff in this area. At present there are 23 staff.
Given the resources available, I am satisfied that there is sufficient staff for the tasks assigned to the branch.
