Vol. 374 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

14.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the new house grant application of a person (details supplied) in County Donegal; and if the house will be inspected again to ensure that this person is given every opportunity to qualify for a new house grant.

A new house grant and mortgage subsidy cannot be allowed as the floor area of the house exceeded the statutory limit. On receipt of additional documentation from the applicant, a further inspection was carried out, following which the earlier decision not to allow a grant had to be maintained.
