asked the Minister for Education the reason a fare-paying person (details supplied) in County Cork has been refused school transport to Glenville national school, County Cork; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that the school bus in this case is not full; and if her attention has been further drawn to the hardship which this will cause.

As the service in question was operating with a capacity load at the beginning of the current school term, this pupil could not be accommodated. Vacant seats subsequently became available and the pupil in question was issued with a fare-paying ticket on 13 January 1988.
