Vol. 377 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Limerick School.

35.

asked the Minister for Education the present stage of the extension to Ballylanders national school, County Limerick; when it reached that stage; the approximate date on which it will go to tender; and the reason for the long delay in carrying out this urgent work.

Tender documentation has been prepared for the proposed extension to Ballylanders national school, which is officially listed with the County Limerick schools. However, because of the pressure on the capital available in 1988 to my Department for its national schools building programme, I am not in a position to state when I may be able to authorise the invitation of tenders for this major project. I might, however, mention to the Deputy that my Department recently sanctioned a grant towards a scheme at the school whereby toilet facilities, windows and the roof are to be improved.
